Introducing Tales From The Lighthouse

We’re delighted to announce our brand new show, Tales From The Lighthouse. Produced by Little Seeds Music in collaboration with The League of Curiosity and Horse & Bamboo, the show is written and performed by Oliver Bishop with live music from BBC Radio 2 Folk Award Nominee Cohen Braithwaite-Kilcoyne, and directed by Renata Allen.

Featuring spellbinding puppetry, live music and story, the show tells the story of a lonely lighthouse keeper who has grown fearful of the sea and its wild and stormy nature. However, when a mysterious stranger appears with songs of the sea’s magic and power, the keeper is forced to confront his fears and slowly rediscover the beauty of the ocean that surrounds him.

The production will be open at Horse & Bamboo in July 2024, before heading out on a pilot tour with performances at Sidmouth Folk Festival, The Met Bury, St Helen’s Library, and Half Moon Theatre. It will then be available for booking throughout 2025.

You can find out more about the show here, and also watch a teaser trailer below.

Tales From The Lighthouse is made possible by generous funding from Arts Council England.
